HCMC – Vietnam Airlines is preparing to launch direct flights between the country’s two largest cities, Hanoi and HCMC, and Munich, one of Germany’s largest cities, this October.

The national flag carrier’s Hanoi-Munich route will have two weekly services, with departures from Hanoi set for Fridays and Sundays, and departures from Munich scheduled for Mondays and Saturdays.

For the HCMC-Munich route, flights will depart from HCMC on Mondays and return on Tuesdays. By December, Vietnam Airlines plans to increase the flight frequency between the two cities, adding one more flight from HCMC to Munich on Wednesdays and another from Munich to HCMC on Thursdays.

Boeing 787 aircraft will be utilized for these direct flights.

This expansion of international flight routes underscores Vietnam Airlines’ commitment to enhancing connectivity between Vietnam and other countries, and boosts air links between Vietnam’s two major cities, Hanoi and HCMC, and two prominent German cities, Frankfurt and Munich, with Vietnam Airlines now operating direct routes on both.

Tickets for flights to Munich are now available on Vietnam Airlines’ official website, mobile app, and at authorized ticket agents.
