HCMC – Vietnam was among the top 10 popular destinations for Australian visitors, with an impressive number of 18,5000 arrivals in July, based on figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

Data from the ABS showed that Vietnam received over 18,5000 Australian travelers in July, making Vietnam the most popular tourist destination among Australians.

New Zealand was first on the list with 96,180 visitors, tailed by Indonesia and the U.K., with visitor volumes of 86,160 and 66,480, respectively. Moreover, the U.S., Fiji, India, Singapore, Thailand and Italy also made it to the list.

After Vietnam and Australia re-opened their borders to international travelers, the number of Australians that traveled to Vietnam increased drastically.

July saw an additional 8,200 Australians arrive in Vietnam over June. Still, the number is lower than that of the same period last year, estimated at almost 10,000.

ABS indicated that an average Australian spent 19 days on every trip to travel and visit friends and relatives.
