Vietnam reports another Covid-19 fatality

HCMC – Vietnam’s Covid-19 death toll has risen to 28 to date, with the latest fatality being a 36-year-old woman from the central province of Quang Nam, confirmed the Health Ministry.

She died of pneumonia caused by Covid-19, septic shock and multiorgan failure along with end-stage kidney failure, hypertension, heart failure and peritoneal dialysis at Hoa Vang Medical Center in neighboring Danang City.

The deceased had a medical history of end-stage chronic kidney failure, hypertension, heart failure and was receiving peritoneal dialysis for 12 years.

As of today, August 26, the country has reported 1,029 Covid-19 infections, with 592 having recovered and 408 being active.
