HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called for the World Bank’s (WB) support in four critical areas: poverty reduction, gender equality, remote area development, and agriculture.

He outlined four priority areas for cooperation with the WB, including infrastructure and logistics capacity building, energy transition and renewable development, enhancement of the Mekong Delta’s resilience against land subsidence, erosion, and flooding, and the promotion of innovation and digital transformation.

PM Chinh met with WB President Ajay Banga during the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia, on September 7.

Banga expressed his endorsement of these strategic areas, emphasizing their potential to drive qualitative transformation in Vietnam’s development over the next decade.
