HCMC – Following their successful talks today, April 22, Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung witnessed the exchange of cooperation documents between the two countries.
Covering a wide range of areas—from science and technology, agriculture, energy and intellectual property to nuclear power—the agreements reflect the comprehensive nature of bilateral ties between the two nations.
The documents include:
– A memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation in security protection between Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security and the Presidential Security Service of South Korea.
– An MOU on strengthening cooperation in intellectual property between Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and the Korean Intellectual Property Office.
– An MOU on digital cooperation between Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT.
– A master plan framework for Vietnam–South Korea cooperation in science, technology and innovation between Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT.
– An MOU on cooperation between Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the 2026–2030 period.
– An MOU on cooperation in underwater cultural heritage between Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and South Korea’s Cultural Heritage Administration.
– An MOU on cooperation in food safety, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and medical devices between Vietnam’s Ministry of Health and South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
– An MOU on cooperation in animal quarantine between Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and South Korea’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
– An MOU on water security cooperation between Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and South Korea’s Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment.
– An MOU on cooperation in power infrastructure between Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and South Korea’s Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment.
– An MOU on cooperation in nuclear power plant development between Petrovietnam and Korea Electric Power Corporation.
– An MOU on financing for nuclear power projects between Petrovietnam, Korea Electric Power Corporation, the Export-Import Bank of Korea and the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation.
