HCMC – The Ministry of Health is preparing for the largest-ever Covid-19 vaccination campaign with over 100 million doses by mobilizing workers active in the healthcare sector and other fields to join the program.

The campaign is aimed at bringing life back to normal and minimizing the damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long told a meeting with representatives of the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund on February 24.

The minister said that some relevant agencies had been tasked with mapping out detailed vaccination plans for each period to ensure the process takes place smoothly.

All public healthcare facilities will join the vaccination campaign, while students at medical universities will be mobilized to participate in Covid-19 vaccine drives at some mobile sites, according to the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Health has also assigned relevant agencies to offer training courses for vaccination and the handling of incidents or problems after vaccination.

Speaking at the meeting, the minister said that Vietnam expected to access high quality doses of the Covid-19 vaccine at reasonable prices, VietnamPlus news site reported.
