HCMC – The Ministry of Public Security will launch a unified online platform on May 21 for accommodation providers to register stays for Vietnamese citizens and foreign nationals on a single website.

The platform, available at tbltkbtt.bocongan.gov.vn, is intended to standardize procedures, strengthen security and simplify reporting requirements for accommodation businesses. Under the ministry’s new regulations, all accommodation establishments will be required to submit stay notifications through the new system once it officially comes into operation, replacing previous websites and the ASM software platform.

The new system includes several upgraded features, including online account authentication, centralized management of multiple branches under one account and automatic extraction of information from passport or citizen ID card images.

The platform is currently being deployed in Ho Chi Minh City, Haiphong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa and An Giang, along with three wards in Hanoi, including Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung and Ngoc Ha.

The function for reporting stays of Vietnamese citizens has initially been piloted in An Giang Province and the three wards in Hanoi.

To ensure a smooth transition, the Ministry of Public Security instructed accommodation providers in An Giang, Haiphong, Bac Ninh and Phu Tho to add provincial prefixes such as “ag_” (for An Giang), “hp_”, (for Haiphong) “bn_” (for Bac Ninh) and “pt_” (for Phu Tho) before their existing usernames when logging into the new system.

Authorities said the platform’s professional management tools and customer history search functions are expected to improve operational efficiency for accommodation providers while helping authorities access accurate and timely residency information.
