HCMC – Local carrier Vietravel Airlines introduced new air services linking HCMC with Quy Nhon City in Binh Dinh Province and resumed flights between HCMC and Danang yesterday, January 21.

Its first flight departing from HCMC arrived in Quy Nhon at 13:25. In the new normal, Vietravel will operate one daily flight on the HCMC-Quy Nhon route.

The carrier said it will ensure its on-time performance rate reaches over 98% and will increase the frequency on the HCMC-Quy Nhon route to two flights per day, depending on the market demand.

According to Vu Duc Bien, general director of Vietravel Airlines, one of the carrier’s top priorities is to open routes linking tourist destinations. Currently, apart from its plan to launch new routes to other popular destinations in Vietnam, the carrier is working with international aviation agencies to expand its air services.

Vietravel Airlines is set to open new routes to destinations in Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia in the second quarter of the year.

The carrier has also completed negotiations with aircraft selling/leasing companies to upgrade its fleet to six aircraft in 2022.

Vietravel Airlines began commercial operations on January 25 last year, operating three Airbus A321 aircraft. The carrier is offering air services to tourist destinations in the country, such as HCMC, Hanoi, Phu Quoc, Danang, and Quy Nhon.
