HCMC – VNE shares of Vietnam Electricity Construction JSC will be delisted from the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE) on June 29 after the company received qualified audit opinions on its financial statements for three consecutive years.

HOSE issued Decision No. 494 on May 27 to remove more than 90.4 million VNE shares from trading. The delisted shares have a total par value of over VND904.3 billion.

The exchange said the mandatory delisting was triggered by qualified audit opinions on the company’s audited financial statements for 2023, 2024 and 2025, in line with regulations under Decree 155/2020/ND-CP.

June 26, 2026 will be the final trading day for VNE shares on HOSE.

Despite the delisting decision, VNE shares posted five straight limit-up sessions from May 25 to May 29. The stock closed at its ceiling price of VND3,110 on May 29, with trading volume exceeding 1.1 million shares.

Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index moved sideways at the close on Friday, edging down 0.01% to 1,363.49 points as gains in oil and gas stocks offset broader market weakness.

The Hochiminh Stock Exchange recorded 121 winners and 189 losers. Trading volume topped 688 million shares worth nearly VND19.6 trillion, slightly higher than the previous session. Block deals accounted for more than 133 million shares valued at VND4.86 trillion.

For the week, the VN-Index fell 13.64 points, or 0.73%.

The benchmark index still posted a monthly gain of 9.39 points, or 0.5%, in May, extending its streak of gains in the month to four consecutive years.

Oil and gas stocks led the market late in the session. GAS surged to its ceiling price of VND87,400 per share. BSR and PLX gained about 4% each to VND29,750 and VND41,000, respectively.

Most other blue chips saw limited movement. SSB was among the largest decliners in the VN30 basket, falling more than 3% to VND14,000.

Several stocks faced heavier selling pressure. DIG, NAB, and OGC lost between 3% and 4%. GEE and CRC dropped more than 5%, while SZC slid 6.8% to VND22,650 with matched volume exceeding five million shares.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index rose 9.38 points, or 3.28%, to 294.94 points. The northern bourse recorded 65 advancers and 66 decliners. Trading volume reached more than 49.5 million shares worth VND873.6 billion.
