HCMC – The Saigon Water Corporation (SAWACO) has announced a scheduled water shutdown affecting multiple areas of the city from 9:00 p.m. on May 11 to 5:00 a.m. on May 12, due to essential maintenance work.

The temporary disruption is necessary for maintenance on the DN600 valve, the filtration house, and various technical equipment across the water network. Areas slated for water interruption include several neighborhoods in Binh Thanh District, Go Vap District, District 12, Tan Binh District, and around Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

In Thu Duc City, areas like Binh Chieu, Hiep Binh Chanh, Hiep Binh Phuoc, Linh Dong, Tam Binh, and Tam Phu will face water disruptions, while Binh Tho and Linh Chieu neighborhoods may experience reduced water pressure.

To mitigate the impact, SAWACO plans to supply water through tanker trucks to critical locations during the shutdown.

The corporation also warns that water restoration might be delayed in some areas due to specific local conditions, but assures that efforts will be made to maintain a continuous water supply with tanker trucks until the maintenance is complete.
