HCMC – Siemens Healthineers employees and the company’s union have come together to donate relief packs containing food and personal protective equipment to vulnerable communities in Vietnam that are struggling due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Since April 23, they have delivered more than 11 tons of rice, 6,000 sets of masks and hand sanitizers and more than 100 care packages containing milk, instant noodles and cooking oil to localities hit hardest by the pandemic. The Siemens Healthineers team will continue to deliver these relief packages until the end of this month.

“The current crisis is of such magnitude that you can’t just be a spectator. The most vulnerable people in our communities need us now more than ever,” said Pedro Vilaca, country head for Vietnam, Siemens Healthineers.

“I am extremely proud of our employees who stepped forward with suggestions to help and as a team supported the local communities,” he added.
