Must read

HCMC – A Vietnam Airlines aircraft brought home over 270 Vietnamese nationals from Malaysia on May 10.

The passengers, including minor students, elderly people, sick people, workers and tourists, arrived at Danang International Airport at 8 p.m. with the assistance of the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia, the local media reported.

On arrival in Vietnam, all crew members and travelers had health checks and were sent to quarantine centers, in line with prevailing regulations, to prevent the risk of community spread of Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

Based on citizens’ desire to return home, localities’ quarantine capacity and the development of Covid-19, the country’s agencies and some representative Vietnamese offices in foreign countries will continue to cooperate with local airlines in the coming days to operate flights to bring home Vietnamese nationals stranded abroad.

Over the past few days, under the prime minister’s directive, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and other competent agencies and some representative offices in foreign countries, launched a series of flights to repatriate Vietnamese nationals.
