HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived in Brunei yesterday afternoon, February 10, starting his two-day visit at the invitation of the Sultan of Brunei, Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
Crown Prince of Brunei Al-Muhtadee Billah chaired a welcome ceremony for the Vietnamese prime minister and his spouse.
This is the first official visit of a Vietnamese Government leader to Brunei in 16 years.
PM Chinh will hold talks with the Sultan of Brunei and other members of the royal family, attend dialogues with some Brunei leading energy businesses and visit the University of Brunei Darussalam.
Yesterday evening, the Vietnamese Cabinet leader and his spouse, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, met with representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Brunei.
