HCMC – The HCMC Department of Health on September 17 asked pop-up healthcare stations to conduct rapid Covid-19 tests for staff of technology-based delivery services companies every two days until September 30, instead of everyday as earlier.

The department has sent the requirements to the municipal Center for Disease Control (HCDC) and medical centers in Thu Duc City and districts. Accordingly, HCDC must provide test kits to medical centers so that these medical centers can distribute them to the pop-up healthcare stations, the local media reported.

Tests should be done in groups of three delivery men.

The medical centers in Thu Duc City and districts should estimate the number of test kits needed to test delivery people.

Those testing positive will be updated on the Covid-19 case management system. Pop-up healthcare stations must also report the test results to the Department of Health before 3 p.m. everyday.

Since September 16, employees of technology-based delivery firms have been allowed to operate citywide from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., instead of within a single district.

In addition, enterprises and household businesses can use their own delivery workforce but they can operate within a single district.
