HCMC – Major airlines in Vietnam have begun selling tickets of domestic and international flights for the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday, known as Tet in Vietnamese.
The peak of the Lunar New Year will occur from February 8 to 14, 2024, spanning seven days from the 29th day of the 12th lunar month to the 5th day of the first lunar month.
Vietnam Airlines Group, comprising Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and VASCO, made three million tickets available on its website and at local ticketing offices on September 13.
These tickets cover flights between January 25 and February 24, 2024. The Tet flight schedule encompasses all the group’s existing air routes, including 15,000 domestic flights and 4,650 international flights.
Vietnam Airlines has emphasized its domestic operations in major cities such as Hanoi, Danang and HCMC. For international routes, the highest ticket availability during Tet will be for flights connecting Vietnam to countries like Japan, South Korea, China, Thailand, Laos, Australia and Germany.
Vietjet, a local budget carrier, has also started accepting domestic flight reservations for flights scheduled between late January and mid-February 2024.
