HCMC – Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company, which is listed on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange with stock code HAG, has announced a plan to issue 130 million shares via private placement.
As per the plan, those HAG shares will be offered at VND10,000 each, much higher than the current market price.
With this plan, Hoang Anh Gia Lai JSC is expected to mobilize VND1.3 trillion to repay debt and inject capital into its subsidiaries.
Specifically, the company will use VND323 billion for principal and interest payments for the bonds it issued on June 18, 2012.
It plans to spend VND277 billion restructuring the debt that Lo Pang Livestock JSC owed to TPBank, and inject VND700 billion into another subsidiary, Hung Thang Loi Gia Lai Company Limited. The disbursement is expected to be made from 2023 to 2024.
Hoang Anh Gia Lai JSC announced a plan to sell nearly 162 million shares at VND10,500 each in September 2022. However, the plan failed due to unfavorable market conditions.
Closing the trading session today, HAG shares surged by 4.53% day-on-day to VND7,850 per share.
Regarding the stock market today, September 27, the strong performance of securities stocks fueled a turnaround in the market.
The VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange added 15.89 points, or 1.4%, to 1,153.85 points, with advancers outnumbering decliners by 308 to 191.
Trade on the southern bourse totaled over 860.42 million shares worth over VND18.1 trillion, plummeting by 17.31% in volume and 15.84% in value over the previous session. Block deals contributed more than VND2.1 trillion to the overall value, with around 83.16 million shares changing hands.
SSI stole the spotlight in the market as it closed the trading session at VND33,000, surging by 6.8% versus the previous session, with over 32 million shares transacted.
VIX took the lead by liquidity with 47.83 million shares changing hands. It closed the trading session today at VND16,550, an increase of 5.41% day-on-day.
With 93 winners and 77 losers, the HNX-Index of the Hanoi Stock Exchange added 6.09 points, or 2.65%, to 235.84 points. The total trading volume exceeded 98.77 million shares, with a value of over VND1.8 trillion.
