HCMC – Two sections of the 500 kV circuit-3 power transmission line, from Nam Dinh to Pho Noi and from Quynh Luu to Thanh Hoa, have been completed, enhancing the power supply from the north-central region to the northern region.
The 500 kV Quynh Luu-Thanh Hoa line is 92 kilometers long, passing through the provinces of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa. Meanwhile, the section from Nam Dinh 1 Thermal Power Plant to Pho Noi is 127 kilometers long, crossing Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong and Hung Yen provinces. Construction of these two projects began in January 2024.
Once fully completed, the 500 kV circuit-3 line project will reduce the load and prevent overloads on the existing 500 kV lines.
The timely completion of these sections meets the Government’s schedule requirements for the project, aligning with the celebration of National Day on September 2.
