HCMC – A massive fire swept through a cold storage facility of a food company in An Lac A Ward in HCMC’s Binh Tan District early this morning, October 20, burning materials and equipment inside and hundreds of square meters of the facility.
The blaze erupted at the facility of Viet Sin Food Technology JSC at 3.25 a.m. on the day and rapidly engulfed the cold storage which covers some 3,000 square meters, the local media reported.
Tens of firefighters and soldiers and 12 fire trucks were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the ferocious flames.
The fire was brought under control at 4.55 a.m., but destroyed 220 square meters of the cold storage facility and the firm’s office area.
The police are investigating the cause of the blaze.
