HCMC – Storm Toraji entered the East Sea this morning, November 12, marking the eighth storm to impact Vietnam this year, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
At approximately 4 a.m., the eye of the storm was spotted in the northeastern waters of the East Sea, with sustained winds at level 10 and gusts reaching level 12. The storm is moving northwest at a speed of 10-15 kilometers per hour.
By 4 a.m. on November 13, Toraji is expected to accelerate northwest, with wind speeds increasing to levels 9-12.
By 4 a.m. on November 14, the storm’s center is projected to be in the northern part of the East Sea, where wind speeds will decrease to levels 8-9, with gusts reaching level 11. On November 15, the storm is expected to shift westward at approximately 10 kilometers per hour and gradually weaken into a tropical depression.
