HCMC – Traffic on Binh Trieu 1 will be restricted from August 26 to November 30 to facilitate the execution of a project to raise the vertical clearance of the bridge, according to the Construction Department of HCMC.
Cars will be banned from Binh Trieu 1 Bridge during the period. Binh Trieu 2 will be used as a two-way bridge. Vehicles from Dinh Bo Linh Street to Pham Van Dong Street will use a single 3.5-meter lane. In the opposite direction, motorcycles and small cars will share one lane, while other cars will use another.
The project will lift the Binh Trieu 1 Bridge deck by 1.081 meters using hydraulic jacks. Its foundations will be reinforced with bored piles and its piers and abutments raised with reinforced concrete.
The upgrade spans 770 meters along National Highway 13, connecting Binh Thanh and Hiep Binh wards.
The cost of the project is more than VND132 billion.
