HCMC – Vietnam celebrated the 80th anniversaries of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 with a large-scale parade at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi City, drawing tens of thousands of spectators and millions of viewers nationwide.

The event transformed the downtown area of the capital into a vibrant hub of flags, music, and coordinated formations, as citizens reflected on the country’s journey from wartime struggle to present-day peace and development.

Crowds began gathering the night before, with streets leading to Ba Dinh Square filled with residents and visitors from across the country. Among them were war veterans, many of whom kept vigil overnight to witness the historic occasion, viewing it as a reminder of hard-earned independence and the value of peace.
