HCMC – The Saigon Times, an English news website of the Saigon Times Group, will hold the Saigon Times CSR 2025 Merit Ceremony at the GEM Center, Saigon Ward, HCMC, on November 5 to honor 40 businesses for their outstanding contributions to the community through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
In its seventh edition, the Saigon Times CSR program reaffirms that Corporate Social Responsibility is not an add-on but an essential pillar of sustainable business development.
With the theme “Toward a Sustainable Society,” this year’s program highlights the importance of balanced development across three pillars: economic growth, environmental protection, and social equity. A sustainable society is shaped by the concrete actions of businesses – engaging with communities, preserving natural resources, improving workers’ livelihoods, and creating shared value for future generations.
Over six months since its launch, the 2025 program has received nearly 100 CSR stories from participating companies. Of these, 70 outstanding submissions were selected and published on The Saigon Times (english.thesaigontimes.vn) and its sister news website in Vietnamese, Kinh te Sai Gon Online (thesaigontimes.vn). These stories not only showcase businesses’ efforts in reducing emissions, advancing the circular economy, protecting labor rights, and supporting communities, but also inspire broader positive change.
As part of the ceremony, a panel discussion “CSR – Toward a Sustainable Society” will be held with the participation of experts and business leaders. The forum provided practical insights that help shape CSR strategies in the new development phase.
With CSR 2025, The Saigon Times continues to affirm its mission of serving as a trusted platform to recognize and amplify the humanitarian values of businesses, joining hands to build a sustainable society where economic benefits are aligned with environmental responsibility and community well-being.
Last year, the Saigon Times CSR 2024 program honored 40 businesses with meaningful and impactful CSR initiatives, spreading the spirit of sharing and contributing to the community.
