Vinh Long seeks investment for 10 renewable energy projects

HCMC – The Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long is seeking investors for 10 major renewable energy projects planned for 2025-2030, with an estimated total investment of VND55.25 trillion.

Among these 10 projects are eight wind power plants, one solar power plant, and one large-scale green hydrogen facility, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

The wind power projects include the Binh Dai 1 and Thoi Thuan nearshore and coastal wind farms in Thoi Thuan Commune; the Thanh Phu 1 wind farm in Thanh Phong Commune; the Ba Tri wind farm in Tan Thuy Commune; the Dong Hai 3 wind farm in Dong Hai Commune; the second phases of the V1-5 and V1-6 wind farms and Wind Power Plant No. 3 in Long Huu Commune; and the Duyen Hai 2 wind farm spanning the communes of Dong Hai, Long Thanh and Ngu Lac.

For solar energy, the province is seeking investment for the Ben Tre solar power plant in the communes of Thanh Tri and Tan Xuan.

It is also calling for investment in a large-scale green hydrogen plant within the green hydrogen complex at the Dinh An Economic Zone, with an estimated investment of up to VND39.35 trillion.

Provincial leaders said Vinh Long is intensifying efforts to draw investment into clean energy, with the goal of becoming a renewable energy hub for the Mekong Delta.
