HCMC – Duc Thanh Wood Processing Joint Stock Company (HOSE: GDT) has announced the acquisition of a manufacturing facility in HCMC worth VND150 billion, marking a significant expansion amid a year of mixed business performance.

According to its disclosure, GDT will take over land-use rights, housing ownership and all on-site assets at Factory No.7 in Chanh Phu Hoa Ward, HCMC. The 32,914-square-meter property includes three workshops, three warehouses, an office building, and supporting facilities such as a canteen and guard house.

Despite a slowdown in consumption since mid-2025 and delayed export orders from key clients, the company reported improved profitability. In its consolidated Q3 report, GDT posted revenue of VND79.6 billion, down 13% year-on-year, but after-tax profit rose 29% to VND20.6 billion. The firm attributed the profit growth to optimized production costs, lower logistics expenses, higher productivity, stronger capital efficiency, and a shift toward higher-margin product lines.

Closing the trading session today, December 4, GDT shares closed at VND20,850, up 100 points (0.48%) from the previous session. Trading volume reached 50,800 shares, while the company’s market capitalization stood at roughly VND514.39 billion.
