The second Sa Dec Flower Festival 2025 is expected to take place from December 27, 2025, to January 4, 2026, in Sa Dec Ward, Dong Thap Province. This is a major event for Dong Thap, following the success of the first edition.
According to the plan, the second flower festival in 2025 will be held at the provincial level and is expected to span nine days, attracting around 500,000 visitors from Vietnam and abroad.
The event will feature a series of key activities, including the Sa Dec flower space; the “Old Sa Dec” space; the heritage region space; a flower and ornamental plant market; a trade, tourism, and OCOP (One Commune One Product) fair; a performance themed “A Hundred Years of Fragrance and Colors of the Flower Village”; and competitions for floral gates, flower streets, and beautiful flower gardens.
In addition, several experiential tourism routes will be introduced to visitors during the festival, including the “Sa Dec Flower Village – A Hundred Years of Fragrance and Colors” and “Sa Dec Flower Village and Surrounding Areas” routes.
The first Sa Dec flower and ornamental plant festival, held over seven days (from December 30, 2023, to January 5, 2024), attracted more than 245,000 domestic and international visitors and generated about VND98 billion in revenue.
Sa Dec is known as the “capital” of flowers and ornamental plants in the Mekong Delta, home to a flower village with a history of more than 300 years. It not only supplies a wide variety of ornamental flowers to provinces across the country but is also a well-known tourist destination in Dong Thap Province and the Mekong Delta as a whole.
