HCMC – The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in HCMC yesterday, November 25, received 10,000 ampules of Cytoflavin donated by Russian pharmaceutical manufacturer Polysan to assist in the local treatment of Covid-19.
The handover ceremony was attended by To Thi Bich Chau, chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in HCMC; officials of the city; Russian Consul General in HCMC Timur S. Sadykov; Bui Thi Kim Cuc, representative of Polysan in Vietnam; and doctors of eight local hospitals.
The event took place in HCMC and was transmitted live in Hanoi, Moscow and St. Peterburg.
After the ceremony, the ampules will be allocated to eight local hospitals in the city to help treat Covid-19 patients.
Speaking at the event, the Russian diplomat said that Cytoflavin is currently being used as part of Russia’s treatment regimen for Covid patients. He expected the drug would help local medical facilities and hospitals in HCMC treat Covid patients.
He also thanked HCMC for supporting Russian citizens in need in the city during the pandemic.
In response, To Thi Bich Chau expressed her gratitude for the valuable and timely support from the Russian side.
