HCMC – PVOIL Saigon will stop selling RON 95-III gasoline at its retail stations from May 15 as the state-run fuel distributor accelerates a nationwide rollout of E10 bio-gasoline.

The move comes after PVOIL, the parent firm of PVOIL Saigon, announced it had completed preparations for the large-scale deployment of E10 across its nationwide distribution network.

PVOil Saigon began selling E10 RON 95-III gasoline in April 2026 and plans to gradually transition entirely to biofuels. Sales of RON 95-III gasoline will officially end on May 15 to facilitate the transition.

Customers and business partners encountering issues during the conversion period have been advised to contact the company’s business division for support.

Currently, RON 95 gasoline in Vietnam is mainly distributed under two standards, RON 95-III and RON 95-V. Of the two, RON 95-V complies with Euro 5 emissions standards, in line with Vietnam’s roadmap to tighten vehicle emission requirements.

Alongside the restructuring of its fuel portfolio, PVOIL has stepped up the rollout of E10 gasoline, a fuel blend containing 10% ethanol, which is expected to help reduce emissions and support the Government’s biofuel development strategy.

PVOIL first piloted E10 RON95 sales in Hanoi and Haiphong on August 1, 2025, before expanding distribution to central and southern provinces. As of April 2026, 558 fuel stations within PVOIL’s nationwide network of nearly 1,000 retail outlets had begun selling E10.
