HCMC – The LIN Center for Community Development (LIN) will organize its fourth annual Cross-sector Conference 2020 on August 27, with the main theme of “Trust, Innovation and Opportunity”, aimed at connecting stakeholders across diverse sectors to build strategic and sustainable models to make an impact on the local communities.
Set to be held virtually on Zoom and Facebook Live, this year’s edition will focus on three main components: skills in building partnership and trust, innovation in cross-sector partnerships and cross-sector opportunities.
The event will offer virtual skill-based workshops and sharing sessions for both profit and nonprofit organizations that include practical insights and experience from innovative partnerships. It will give participants an opportunity to study new approaches in partnerships for sustainable philanthropy and community development.
The event will host some 30 of the seniormost speakers and panelists who are representatives of international and regional nonprofit organizations, corporate executives and philanthropists as well as senior researchers and experts in social impact and innovation.
In the Trust panel, the expert speakers will address the essential role of trust, mindfulness and partnership in a Covid-19 impacted world, discuss critical skills to build trust-based partnerships or how to drive better conversation with partners regarding overhead costs in non-profit organization governance.
As for the Innovation panel, leading experts in the field will discuss why it is important to consider Innovation as part of the culture of an organization rather than short-term breakthroughs. A series of panel discussions will feature diverse innovative partnerships in the Environment, Education and Economic Empowerment segment of sustainable development.
Meanwhile, the Opportunity session has been postponed for the time being due to the pandemic and will resume when possible.
The event is co-hosted by LIN, The Saigon Times, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Vietnam and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam in addition to sponsors and supporters including Irish Aid, Brot für die Welt, KPMG Vietnam, Give.Asia Kindness, EZ Land and Hello World Saigon.
