HCMC – Vietnam’s Covid-19 tally remained at 1022 this morning, August 25, as no new cases were reported, said the Health Ministry.
To date, the country has confirmed 680 locally-transmitted cases, including 540 linked to the Danang coronavirus hotspot since July 25.
Of the total infections, 588 have fully recovered and were released from hospital, 406 others are active cases. There have been 27 fatalities due to Covid-19, according to the ministry’s national steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control.
Further, more than 71,000 people who came into close contact with confirmed coronavirus patients or returned to Vietnam from pandemic-hit areas are under quarantine.
