HCMC – Following its support programs for the residents of the central region affected by storms and landslides in early October, Truong Hai Auto Corporation, or Thaco, is planning to spend VND5 billion rebuilding a village which was damaged by severe landslides in Tra Leng Commune in Nam Tra My District of the central province of Quang Nam.
“Thaco will build some 30 houses for locals in the village. After Quang Nam Province surveys and selects the new locations, the firm will design and deploy the construction to ensure the affected residents live in solid and safe houses,” said Nguyen Mot, communications director of Thaco.
Thaco will also donate VND2 billion to Quang Ngai Province and VND1 billion to Nui Thanh District of Quang Nam Province.
Apart from its donations in cash, Thaco has always attached importance to social activities toward the community. Over the past few years, Thaco has sponsored various community programs, including building a two-level roundabout in Quang Nam Province, constructing 25 bridges in the southwestern region and installing water filtering systems at a number of schools, with a total cost of over VND850 billion.
