HCMC – After an upward adjustment on April 21, domestic retail prices of fuels continued to rise today, May 4, according to an announcement jointly issued by the Ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance.
Bio-fuel E5 RON92 is up by VN330 per liter to VND27,468, while the higher-grade RON95 petrol is now priced at VND28,434 per liter, up VND440, the local media reported.
Diesel oil increased by VND170 per liter at VND25,530, while heavy fuel oil now sells for VND21,560 per kg, down VND240. The price of kerosene remains unchanged at VND23,828 per liter.
During this fuel price adjustment, the ministries decided to impose a surcharge on all the fuels but heavy fuel oil to replenish the national fuel price stabilization fund. The surcharges on the bio-fuel, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil and kerosene are VND300, VND400, VND100 and VND119 for each liter sold, respectively.
Meanwhile, local fuel traders were not allowed to tap the national fuel price stabilization fund.
