HCMC – Commercial flights between Hanoi City and the Mekong Delta province of Ca Mau will be launched from April 30, with three weekly flights.
The government of Ca Mau, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), and local carrier Bamboo Airways yesterday, February 23, reached a consensus to launch the Ca Mau-Hanoi route, the local media reported.
Nguyen Ngoc Trong, board chairman of Bamboo Airways, said Ca Mau is the 22nd destination for the carrier to operate its commercial flights. The carrier would use its E190 jets with a configuration of 98 seats on the route.
Ho Minh Tan, deputy head of CAAV, said the launch of the new air services would contribute to economic growth, especially by attracting investment in Ca Mau.
Lam Van Bi, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, asked the Ca Mau airport to coordinate with the relevant agencies to prepare for the opening of the air services.
