An old man dies after having tested negative for Covid-19 three times

HCMC – A 76-year-old male resident of Danang City, who had been tagged as the 764th case in Vietnam, has been confirmed dead due to serious underlying health conditions after having tested negative for the coronavirus three times, according to the Ministry of Health.

The deceased had a medical history of Covid-19, chronic kidney failure, hypertension and subdural hematoma.

His negative test results came out on August 30 and 31 and September 1. The man was pronounced dead due to septic shock, multiorgan failure, pneumonia, kidney disease and hypertension last night, September 1, at Hoa Vang Health Care Center.

The death was not reported as the 35th Covid-19 fatality in the country.

Among the 1,044 confirmed cases of Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, 735 patients have made a full recovery and been discharged from hospitals to date, while 34 others have died of the virus.
