HCMC – Around 4,500 employees of the Indian multinational pharmaceutical company Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited will be visiting northern Vietnam later this month.
Nguyen Nguyet Van Khanh, chief marketing officer of Vietravel, said the group would arrive in stages between August 27 and September 7, according to local media reports. The company’s owner, one of India’s billionaires, is also expected to join the visit.
The Vietnam tour is expected to take in Hanoi City, Ninh Binh Province and Quang Ninh Province’s Halong Bay.
According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, Vietnam attracted around 392,000 Indian tourists last year. In the first half of this year, the country hosted 231,000 Indian visitors, up by a staggering 164% against the same period last year.
