HCMC – The southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau has been allocated an additional 121,000 Covid vaccine doses to inoculate its residents in the upcoming time, the provincial anti-Covid authority said today, September 22.
The province will receive the 121,000 doses in three batches of 1,000 doses, 20,000 doses and 100,000 doses, reported Lao Dong newspaper.
The provincial Department of Health has been tasked with distributing the vaccines to localities across the province.
The southern province has to date been allocated 427,990 doses out of some 1.5 million doses needed, meeting around 27% of its target.
In the two previous vaccine allocations, it received 30,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine and 17,550 doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
As of yesterday, Ba Ria-Vung Tau had reported more than 4,000 Covid cases, including 42 deaths.
