HCMC – The northeastern monsoon at levels 6-7, with gusts at levels 8-9, is battering the waters north of the East Sea on October 21-22.

On October 21, the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control issued an urgent dispatch warning coastal provinces from Quang Ninh to Thua Thien-Hue against the bad weather.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the north of the East Sea will be struck by the northeastern monsoon blowing at levels 6-7, and gusting at levels 8-9, causing the sea to rise with three to five-meter-high waves.

In response to the strong wind at sea, the authorities suggested provinces and cities promptly update residents and vessel owners about the bad weather to ensure people’s safety and property protection.
