HCMC – Bong Bach Tuyet Corporation (UpCOM: BBT) has been fined and ordered to pay more than VND1.14 billion in back taxes, according to a decision issued by the HCMC Tax Department.

The tax authority said Bong Bach Tuyet made incorrect tax declarations, leading to underpayment of value-added tax (VAT) in 2018, 2019, and 2021, as well as corporate income tax (CIT) between 2018 and 2021. The company also misreported VAT filings in 2020, though this did not result in additional tax liabilities.

The HCMC Tax Department has required the company to pay all fines, arrears, and late payment fees to the State budget. BBT is responsible for calculating and paying the late payment interest from August 20 until the actual payment date.
