Bringing positive impacts to society

Must read

Over the past few months, though the banking system has faced multiple difficulties triggered by the coronavirus pandemic, Nam A Bank is still willing to share the hardship with its customers to support them in maintaining their production and business. Further, the bank has also kicked off a variety of corporate social responsibility activities to join hands with the country to contain the virus.

Support for Covid-19-affected customers

Following the directives of the prime minister and the State Bank of Vietnam on restructuring loan repayments and lowering interest rates, since early 2020, Nam A Bank has launched incentives to help customers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The lender has offered innumerable preferential credit packages to all walks of life from farmers, workers and teachers to doctors through a number of programs such as Happy Finance, Happy Teacher-Happy Doctor, Happy Farmer and Nam A Bank Joins the Covid-19 Fight.

Nam A Bank has revised deposit rates down several times to make life easier for struggling businesses that have been hit by Covid-19.

The lender is planning to set aside VND30 trillion supporting its customers in recovering from the health crisis and offering more preferential loan packages with simplified lending procedures so that customers can access loans easily and quickly.

Joining hands with the community

“Strengthening business while contributing to the society” is a lodestar for Nam A Bank’s strategic steps.

Aside from broadening its support for customers to survive the tough time caused by the coronavirus outbreak, Nam A Bank has launched a host of programs aimed at preventing the spread of Covid-19.

The lender has recently joined hands with the Saigon Times Group, which initiated the “Saigon Times-Great Circle-Together We Win over Covid-19” program, to hand over anti-epidemic items, including face masks and hand sanitizer, to border guards in several southern provinces including Binh Phuoc, Dak Nong, Dong Thap and An Giang.

Through the meaningful program, Nam A Bank has shared difficulties with those who are on the fronlines in the combat against the coronavirus.

Earlier, the bank donated VND3.6 billion to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of HCMC and the HCMC Department of Health, and gave two negative pressure rooms and 40 medical beds worth a total of VND1.7 billion to the municipal Health Department. Its donation was aimed at contributing to HCMC’s combat against the coronavirus pandemic.

Furthermore, a series of Nam A Bank branches across the nation have carried out a wide range of charitable programs and social activities to contain the coronavirus outbreak and spread kindness, love and trust among the community. For example, Nam A Bank Ninh Thuan has donated 2,000 bars of soap to Van Lam 3 Hamlet in Phuoc Nam Commune of Ninh Thuan Province’s Thuan Nam District, where the first case of Covid-19 in the province was reported.

Besides, Nam A Bank Danang had earlier teamed up with the lender’s partners to lend a helping hand to poor people in Dannag City by gifting six rice dispencers often dubbed Rice ATMs and 30 tons of rice to representatives of the city’s districts. The branch also donated necessities and protective gears to Quang Nam Province’s Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital and Luong The Vinh Primary School requisitioned as a concentrated quarantine facility in the province’s Thanh Binh District.

“Nam A Bank will always accompany customers in the journey to achieve new goals and is willing to spend part of our profits to help customers overcome the financial hardship caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, the bank will continue stepping up community activities to benefit those in need and become one of outstanding contributors to the fight against Covid-19,” says a representative of the lender.
