A creative playground for startups

Tens of speakers gathered themselves at a series of seminars named TECx 2023 at the Saigon South Marina Club in HCMC’s District 7 on two days of June 22-23, 2023, bringing along interesting stories to the playground. The event was organized by SAVVi. It is referred to as a playground because in Vietnam there has rarely been any convergence point where discussions focused on three vastly different topics to call for investment into technology, movie-making, and music, where films and music were highlighted as a leeway to economic growth, and where creative arts were deemed able to accelerate growth across industries. There were three plenary sessions for the three topics, and “hand-picked” audiences had a valuable opportunity to hear speakers provide insights into their own professional spheres. Is Vietnam still a Rising Tiger? The Technology Entrepreneurs plenary session kicked off the event, with speakers being authoritative voices in economics, coming from McKinsey, Fulbright University Vietnam, and the US-ASEAN Business Council.
