Participating in the first seminar of the Vietnam Green Building Week 2022: “Guarantee health, improve air quality and living facilities in the green building”, CEO Luu Thi Thanh Mau, Standing Vice Chair of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, and General Director of Phuc Khang Investment & Construction Joint Stock Company, aka Phuc Khang Corporation, shared her view on the topic “The health & living facilities in the green building of Diamond Lotus Riverside”.
The CEO, who holds a master’s degree on Urban Study, noted that green works are a vehicle for Phuc Khang Corporation to create high-quality products that are appropriate and suitable to the global trend to spread the green spirit to everybody and contribute to the national green growth strategy, moving toward the sustainable development of the country.
Citing the particular green building of Diamond Lotus Riverside as an example, Luu Thi Thanh Mau said, “Air quality, lighting conveniences, natural ventilation, and view angles are attended to at the designing stage and during operation as well. Besides, the project contributes to the biological diversity of the urban area through preserving the trees and developing the riverside ecosystem.”
Diamond Lotus Riverside, built according to top-notch criteria under the U.S. certification system LEED and the Vietnamese one, LOTUS, is the first high-rise building of Vietnam developed by Phuc Khang Mitsubishi Corporation Holding (PKMC) – a joint venture between Phuc Khang Corporation and Mitsubishi, a leading Japanese company. The project has been granted with LOTUS Provisional certification, and honored in the “Top Five smart green constructions in 2021”
By strictly complying with the health-facility principles, Diamond Lotus Riverside has recorded a positive result. For example, power consumption at the building is reduced by 51.11% and water consumption cut down by 41.7% against the original level. According to the CEO, their efforts in presereving all the green trees and local ecosystem during construction of the sustainable park stretching 300 meters along the bank of Kenh Doi has paid off.
By sharing her experiences, the CEO once again shows a persistent spirit: “During our sustainable development, Phuc Khang Corporation always creates values for the community and natural environment through our products being certified as green buildings, bringing a healthy and convenient living environment for the community.”
The day earlier, a delegation with the participation of more than 60 guests from the Vietnam Green Building Week 2022 paid a site visit to the green building of Diamond Lotus Riverside on Le Quang Kim Street, Ward 8, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City.
