HCMC – Nearly 500 Chinese companies are attending the China Homelife Vietnam 2026 trade fair to find local partners and expand sales in Vietnam’s growing consumer market.

The exhibition, which was opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in HCMC on May 13, features around 700 booths showcasing household goods, kitchenware, furniture, electronics and smart home products.

Organizers expect the three-day event, which runs through May 15, to attract more than 30,000 buyers, importers and retail distributors from Vietnam and other ASEAN markets.

Many exhibitors came from major Chinese manufacturing provinces such as Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Shandong.

Ailsa Zhu, sales director of Zhejiang Ruiheng Household Products, said the company had secured four Vietnamese OEM partners after attending previous exhibitions in Vietnam.

Zhu described Vietnam as a market with strong potential due to rising consumer demand and said the company was seeking additional business partners.

Lynn, a representative of Taizhou Tengzhi Home Products, said the company was participating in the Vietnam exhibition for the first time. The firm currently sells one to two containers of household goods each month to Vietnamese importers and supermarket chains.

The company aims to promote its brand and expand its customer base in Vietnam as domestic consumption grows, Lynn added.

According to organizers, many Chinese businesses also view Vietnam as a gateway to the ASEAN market as regional supply chains continue to shift.

Organizers noted that Vietnam is emerging as a major consumer market in the region, with GDP per capita exceeding US$4,700 and the middle class projected to reach 56 million people by 2030.
