HCMC – All activities in the central coastal city of Danang will begin to return to normal from today, September 25, as the coronavirus outbreak has been brought under control, according to the Danang government’s announcement released yesterday.
Service providers must still follow Covid-19 infection prevention and control measures in line with regulations, VietnamPlus news site reported.
Besides, the city will continue to strictly comply with five preventive measures including wearing face masks, disinfecting regularly, keeping a safe physical distance, banning mass gatherings and making health declarations, according to the announcement.
On September 18, the city allowed a number of businesses to resume operations, but non-essential ones such as bars, clubs, karaoke and massage parlors remained shut.
On September 23, the Hoa Vang Field Hospital declared that the last Covid-19 patient in the city, which was once the country’s Covid-19 epicenter, had made a full recovery. Danang-based healthcare facilities are no longer treating any Covid-19 patients.
Danang City has gone 27 consecutive days without the community transmission of Covid-19.
