HCMC – The Ministry of Transport has picked Nguyen Xuan Cuong, acting head of the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam, as director of the Department of Road Management.
On October 1 this year, the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam will be reorganized into two departments — the Department of Road Management and the Department of Expressway Management.
The Ministry of Transport announced that the decision on Cuong’s appointment would take effect on October 1.
Nguyen Xuan Cuong, 52, used to serve as director of Civil Engineering Construction JSC 244 and deputy head of the Directorate for Roads.
Other deputy heads of the Directorate for Roads, including Nguyen Manh Thang, Nguyen Xuan Anh and Phan Thi Thu Hien, have been appointed as deputy directors of the Department of Road Management.
Currently, some 320 officials of the Directorate for Roads will be joining the Department of Road Management.
