HCMC – From the final lunar month of the old year to the third day of the Lunar New Year, northern Vietnam will be experiencing cold weather while it would be sunny in the southern part of the country.

A cold snap is forecast to envelop the north, persisting until the third day of the Lunar New Year, with temperatures ranging from 13 to 16 degrees Celsius. In mountainous areas, temperatures may be even lower, at 10 degrees Celsius or below.

Meanwhile, the southern region will experience sunny weather, albeit with some parts of the southeastern region encountering heat. Temperature lows in the southern region are expected to range from 23 to 26 degrees Celsius, while temperature highs may soar to 35 degrees Celsius.

North-central provinces from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh might have occasional showers with temperatures forecast to drop. The region’s lowest temperature is projected at around 15 degrees Celsius.

Central provinces from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue during the Tet holiday will also experience similar weather conditions, with scattered showers. The nights and early mornings might be cool, with temperatures hitting a low of 17 degrees Celsius and daytime temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius.

The Central Highlands will see less rain during this period, with temperatures ranging from 16 to 20 degrees Celsius at the lowest and from 29 to 32 degrees Celsius at the highest.
