HCMC – Gold prices in Vietnam soared on February 4, with SJC gold bars reaching a record VND90.6 million per tael, while gold ring prices surged by VND700,000 per tael amid strong domestic demand.
At 9 a.m., Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) and Doji set SJC gold prices at VND88.1 million per tael (buying) and VND90.6 million per tael (selling), up by VND800,000 per tael from the previous session.
Gold ring prices also rose sharply. Bao Tin Minh Chau listed buying prices at VND88.5 million per tael and selling prices at VND90.55 million per tael, while Phu Quy set prices between VND88.4 million and VND90.4 million per tael, reflecting an increase of VND700,000 to VND800,000 per tael compared to the previous day.
On the global market, gold continued its upward trend, hitting US$2,823 per ounce, up US$26 from the previous session. Converted at Vietcombank’s exchange rate, this equates to approximately VND86.65 million per tael.
