Duc Thanh Wood to pay 10% cash dividend for 2023

HCMC – Duc Thanh Wood Processing JSC, whose GDT shares are traded on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, has announced to advance a 10% cash dividend for the first installment of 2023.

That means shareholders will receive VND1,000 for each share held.

With over 21 million outstanding shares, Duc Thanh Wood is expected to spend over VND21 billion paying the interim dividend for its existing shareholders.

The record date to finalize the shareholder list is January 17, and the payment date is January 26, 2024.

The company recently planned to sell 1,065,000 GDT shares to 65 suppliers and partners via private placement. However, at the end of the issuance period, only 311,500 shares were sold to 26 investors, accounting for 29.2% of the total on offer.

Closing the trading session today, January 4, GDT shot up by 3.9% against yesterday’s session to VND24,000, with more than 21,900 shares changing hands.

The VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange added 6.55 points, or 0.57%, over the previous session, at 1,150.72 points, with 299 gainers and 203 decliners.

More than 1.18 billion shares worth VND25.3 trillion were traded on the bourse, surging by 65% in volume and 72% in value over yesterday’s session. Block deals contributed nearly VND975 billion to the overall value, with more than 39.7 million shares transacted.

Bank stocks continued to perform well, with MBB rising by 5% to VND20,100 and CTG increasing by 3.62% to VND28,600.

SHB and SSI took the lead by liquidity on the market, with 61.5 million and 58.7 million shares transacted, respectively.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index added 0.92 points, or 0.4%, day-on-day, closing at 232.56 points, with 69 winners and 77 losers. The total trading volume reached more than 111.7 million units, with a value of VND2.1 trillion.
