Eight Russian experts entering Vietnam test positive for Covid-19

HCMC – The Ministry of Health reported eight more Covid-19 patients tonight, July 15, who are Russian experts having entered Vietnam, taking the country’s tally to 381.

After the eight male patients, aged between 30 and 55, had arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on July 11, they were sent to a centralized quarantine center in Vung Tau City.

The eight Russian men, tagged as 374th to 381st patients, had their samples taken for Covid-19 testing on July 13 and the positive test results came out on July 14. The eight are now being treated at Ba Ria Hospital.

Meanwhile, the 330th patient, a 28-year-old woman, was declared free of Covid-19 by Quang Nam Central General Hospital this afternoon.

Among the 381 confirmed cases in Vietnam, 353 patients have made a full recovery and been discharged from hospitals.

The country has gone 90 consecutive days without community transmission of Covid-19 as of today.
