HCMC – Ericsson has recently introduced the “EricssonEdge Academia Program” to tackle the growing skills shortage in the telecom industry across Southeast Asia, Oceania, and India.

The program is aimed at students about to enter the final year at over 40 universities, providing them with in-depth knowledge in key areas such as 5G, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence (AI).

This six-month initiative includes in-person, instructor-led sessions by Ericsson experts, along with web-based learning modules. Students will undergo regular assessments to track their progress and understanding of the curriculum.

Graduates of the program will have the opportunity to be considered for Ericsson’s Graduate Recruitment Program for potential employment opportunities within the company.

The program is expected to benefit both students and the broader telecom ecosystem. Students gain valuable industry exposure and access to Ericsson’s educational resources, while the telecom sector receives a skilled, future-ready workforce equipped with the latest technological knowledge.
