HCMC – At least four stores were destroyed in a fire on Nguyen Xuyen Street in Hanoi City’s Thanh Tri District at noon today, February 15.
The blaze erupted at an eatery on the street at 11.00 a.m. on the day and then spread to neighboring houses and stores, scaring hundreds of people nearby.
The ferocious flames fueled by woodwork and paper in these stores created a massive column of black smoke.
Firefighters, police officers and several fire trucks were quickly dispatched to the scene to extinguish the flames, the local media reported.
The blaze was brought under control at 1.10 p.m. on the day, Dan Tri Online reported.
The police are investigating the cause of the blaze.
