In the central city of Hue, the roads, parks along the Huong River, and areas surrounding the ancient citadel are adorned with blooming flamboyant trees. The scarlet color of flamboyant flowers brightens the ancient capital on summer days.
Various kinds of flowering trees are grown around the city, including Lagerstroemia (with bright pink to light purple flowers), cornflowers (with pink flowers), rice flowers (with red flowers), and flamboyant flowers. Flamboyant trees are particularly abundant on Le Duan, Dang Thai Than, Le Truc, and Tong Duy Tan streets, as well as in parks and around the citadel.
Public spaces in Hue City have become more colorful with flowers that blossom throughout the four seasons. Two years ago, the city initiated the “Hue – City of Four Flowering Seasons” project, aiming to create sustainable ecological landscape models associated with flowers and to promote the movement of protecting the environment and beautifying urban landscapes.
